Since the dissolution of the Tennessee Horse Council, Tennessee has been without a state wide equine organization to bring our 95 counties together. Horse Haven of Tennessee had envisioned the THC Representatives to be our eyes and ears in their county. A person that equine owners could contact when they had questions regarding county services, contacts or just for help when hard times fell on a family. Until such a time as a new statewide equine organization is formed, HHT would like to help get the ball rolling when it comes to emergency contact information within the state. All gathered information will be shared with the new group once formed. What is required to become part of the network? This network does not require you to attend monthly meetings. All we are trying to do is build up a network of individuals who would be able to help in their region in the event of an emergency type rescue. There are so many emergencies that could arise that would require help from transport to housing. Hopefully you will never be contacted, but being prepared in the event of an emergency can be critical to the welfare of the animal/s in question.
Tennessee is being divided into 10 regions
Zone #1 = 4,676 sq. miles
Zone #2 = 3,770 sq. miles
